The Purge

6 months ago I decided to purge a lot of my material possessions. I was nervous at first, thinking I would miss the things I was tossing out. But half a year later I find myself much happier with having much less.

More so focused on: my relationships with people, my relationship with God, and spreading positive energy. (Which some people laugh at me for & I find that odd.) As if you have to be some global icon to do so.

Truth that your life can change for the better with just a tweak of your mindset. I find that HAPPINESS is dependent on what YOU find important in life. Making your goal to achieve happiness, ATTAINABLE.

My previous struggle was that I was trying to attain this materialistic goal, that unbeknownst to me, was NEVER truly attainable. So how could I ever truly be happy chasing something I could never grasp? Only thing I was grasping was financial debt. I fell into the trap of American consumerism. Never being content and always wanting more.

For me happiness lays not within objects, but within the intangible.
